Bitmap Resampling

Resizing and resampling are almost the same thing, but there is a bit of a difference.

With resizing, its for printing. Let’s say i have a logo that is 2×2 inches and I want to make it 10×10 inches. That is called resizing. I am changing the physical size of the image.

You may also increase the amount of pixels with different algorithms, each with their own purpose and style. You can check out this link for more information on resampling.
